The free app's hallmark

Download the map. Lose the signal, not the way.

This is what makes All Caminos worth installing: download a hand-tuned, paper-relief topographical map before you leave, and navigate the whole route with your data switched off — in a stone village, a deep valley, or airplane mode at 30,000 feet.

Works with zero signal

Download once on wifi, then navigate the whole route with your data switched off.

New paper-relief style

Shaded hillsides, clear contours, every albergue and fountain — easy on the eyes and easy to trust.

Included in the route guides

The original Camino app

Walking one route? Get the guide that started it all.

Before All Caminos, there was the Wise Pilgrim guide — the original Camino app, 14 years on the trail and rebuilt for 2026. Each one is a dedicated, deeper guidebook to a single route. Getting the one you're walking unlocks everything below — and it's how this whole project keeps going.

These guides are how Wise Pilgrim funds the work. Buy the one for your Camino and you're supporting every route, every update, for every pilgrim behind you.

What a dedicated guide adds

Weather forecast

New

A 7-day forecast for the route ahead, plus the next 2½ days hour by hour — so you know whether to start at dawn or wait out the rain.

Build your own stages

Every word of the printed Wise Pilgrim book, without fixed daily stages — so you walk the distances that suit you, and the itinerary planner builds the route around the stages you choose.

Itinerary planner

Plan your stages right in the app, or import the plan you built on wisepilgrim.com.

Hundreds of photos, all offline

900+ photos of albergues, landmarks, and the path itself — stored on your phone, so they load with no signal.

Offline maps included

The downloadable paper-relief topographical maps come with the guide, at no extra cost.

Notes

Leave a note on any town, albergue, or stop, or drop a pin for water, a viewpoint, a photo spot. Every note gathers on one page in order along your Camino — searchable, exportable, and private to your phone.

The full accommodation directory

Every albergue, pension, hotel, and casa rural on the route — searchable, with the ones you can book online flagged.

Pronunciation guide

How to say every place name on the Camino — so you can ask for it, and recognise it when a local says it back.

Every pharmacy, mapped

Pharmacies along the route on the map, with opening hours and contact details for the moment you actually need one.

Points of interest on the map

The map shows fountains, picnic areas, historical sites, ATMs, lookouts and more, right where they are on the trail.

Long-press to drop a note

Pins stay exactly where you put them.

Only in the dedicated route guides

And it remembers what you noticed.

One more good reason: personal notes, in every dedicated route guide. Leave yourself a note on any town, albergue, or stop — or drop a pin on the map for water, a viewpoint, a photo spot, a place you want to come back to.

Still free

Everything else you need. Free.

Beyond the maps, All Caminos handles the practical things — what's ahead, what's in town, and where you'll sleep — across all 26 routes, without paying a cent.

See the climbs before your legs do.

An interactive elevation profile for every route — tap to read distances, see where you are, and plan each day around the climbs your legs can actually take.

Pilgrim tips & comments

Leave tips for the pilgrims behind you, and read what those ahead of you left. No registration.

The ATM, the pharmacy, the shop, the bar.

Quickly find the essential services in each town along the way — ATMs, pharmacies, grocery stores, bars, and restaurants — right where you need them.

Find a bed, and ask for it in Spanish.

Browse the accommodation along your route, then let the WhatsApp helper draft your first booking message in the local language — you send it and take it from there.

Yellow-arrow location

See how far you are from the next town or the nearest albergue, the moment you wonder.

WhatsApp reservation helper

Drafts your first message to an albergue in the local language. You send it; you take it from there.

SES Peregrino check-in

Store your details once and breeze through Spain's required guest registration.

I built this because I wished it existed.

I'm Michael. I walked my first Camino in 2003 and never really stopped. In the years since I've mapped these routes, visited albergues, and talked to every hospitalero who'd give me five minutes. Wise Pilgrim is made in Galicia, where the Camino ends — and where I live. All Caminos is free so anyone can walk; the route guides are how I keep it all going.

Questions pilgrims ask

What's free, what's paid, and how it all fits together.

01Is the All Caminos app free?

Yes. The All Caminos app is free and covers all 26 routes — offline-capable maps, elevation profiles, services in every town, accommodation with the WhatsApp booking helper, and SES Peregrino check-in. The only optional purchase is offline map tiles: $0.99 per route, or $4.99 for the unlimited bundle.

02What's the difference between All Caminos and the route guides?

All Caminos is the free companion for every route — ideal for planning and for walkers covering several Caminos. Each dedicated Wise Pilgrim guide is the original Camino app for a single route, gone deeper: personal notes, pilgrim tips and comments, hundreds of photos, the full bookable accommodation directory, an itinerary planner, interactive elevation, the freedom to build your own stages, and offline maps included.

03How much do the dedicated guides cost?

They're a one-time purchase, most under five dollars (the Camino Francés guide is $4.99), and a few of the quieter routes are free downloads. No subscription, ever. Buying one supports the work behind every route.

04Why buy a guide if the app is free?

Two reasons. The dedicated guide for your route goes much deeper than the free overview — notes, tips, photos, the full directory, the planner. And it's how Wise Pilgrim is funded: one pilgrim in Galicia, keeping 26 routes mapped and updated. Your few dollars keep it going.

05Do I need an account?

No. No signup, no login, no account, in any of the apps. Open it and start walking. Your notes and tips stay private on your phone.

06What are the new notes?

In the dedicated route guides you can leave a note on any town, albergue, or stop, or drop a pin on the map for water, viewpoints, and photo spots. Every note gathers on one page in order along the Camino, ready to search and export, and stays private on your phone. Notes are only in the dedicated guides, not the free app.

07What languages are supported?

The apps are available in 9 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Korean, and Danish.

Buen Camino.

Start free with All Caminos. When you've chosen your route, the dedicated guide will be waiting.
