About this Camino
The original Camino — the first route pilgrims walked — climbing from Oviedo over the mountains of Asturias to rejoin the Francés near Melide. It is tough, remote and beautiful, with the high Hospitales variant crossing open moorland on a clear day. A favourite of seasoned pilgrims.
