• Clean and comfortable

  We had a private room, which was clean, quiet, and had a good bed. There's a washing machine available.

• Basic

  Very small room with 3 bunks crammed in , luckily only 4 of us in room as would of had no room for bags . Clean beds and bathroom but not a great sleep as even though we left window open it was quite stuffy. We booked earlier in year and were charged 17 euros yet others got same for 13euros ... We did eat there but would not reccomend it as heated up frozen food not our thing . Not the most welcoming either.

• Very nice hostel

  We were greeted warmly by the gentleman at the front desk. Private room with ac was simple but clean and comfortable. Shower was excellent and modern. The owners take pride in their hostel and rightfully so. I can’t comment about the bunk room.

• Would not stay again

  Advertises climate control in every room but the air conditioning units in the rooms are “broken”. 3 bunks crammed in a tiny room makes for an exceptionally hot and stuffy experience. Can’t even say it’s my worst night sleep because it’s 12:30am and I can’t sleep, drenched in sweat with no airflow.

• It’s a barren hostel not Albergue

  The room was fine, clean and bathroom was great. Very impersonal setting and check in functional not welcoming.

• Great

  Pleasant couple run this place also a small hotel and restaurant. 2 bunks( 4 beds) in room fab en suite. Everything spotless real sheets. Garden to dry clothes. 13€ bed very fair price as are the food prices. Paella 10.50€ pasta/risotto dishes only 5.80€

  Albergue La Gallega offers Albergue prices with hotel-level facilities. Both dinner and breakfast have a wide variety and are very affordable. The owners are a warm and welcoming couple. The only downside is that their English is not very strong, so if you don’t quite understand what they mean, you might feel a bit offended — but it’s really just a language issue.

• Great place &, great food La Gallega

  We had a great stay at la gallega. Dorm had 4 beds with its own bathroom. They allowed reservation on what’s app. The restaurant attached was excellent. Great pasta, great pizza. And freshes croissant we’ve had on the camino for breakfast. Highly recommend. Beds very comfortable and super clean

• Great Spot

  13 euro for a bed in a 4 bunk room with its own bathroom. Clean and bright. Restaurant downstairs and a big supermarket a minute away.

• Very neat and clean

  Small tidy rooms, mine a four bed, each with their own very pleasant bathroom. Very clean and tidy. Good supermarket in the village.

• Great sleep! Had top floor single bed

  No bed bugs and not hot. Owners were very nice. Best bathroom I had for entire Camino!

• Bedbugs!

  We reserved a double room with private bath through Booking. Entering the room we immediately found traces of bedbugs, so we left.

  Lovely location with a few nice bars and restaurants around it. Room was on the third floor and a bit hot. Unfortunately our room had bed bugs. I know that usually these pests are not the fault of the establishment as can be accidentally bought in by pilgrims but I informed the female staff person in the morning, she was dismissive. I wouldn’t stay here again.

• Albergue is ok but avoid top floor

  Albergue is clean and has good facilities. We were in the attic room. It was like a furnace and air con is broken so would avoid the top floor if you do decide to stay here

• Perfectly fine Albergue

  The other reviews seem very harsh. This was a perfectly fine Albergue. It is a commercial one (bar/hotel/Albergue) so lacks the charm and welcome of some hospitalero. But it was clean, reasonably priced and efficient. The rooms were small but nothing wrong with that: three literas and a private bathroom is better than some huge dormitorio. I have started in nicer albergues but this one is perfectly fine and the other reviews seem oddly harsh Lo.

• I walked out

  I booked a bunk room on booking.com. I went up to the room… it was tiny, 3 bunks squashed into a very small room and the heat was unbearable. No attempt to separate male and females in such a small room, and the man who was in there made me feel very uncomfortable. I left and went to Saint James Way.

• Albergue/Hostel

  19July2021: I stayed in the albergue part. 15€ 3 to a room with one bathroom. They have a washing machine f3€ and dryer for 3€…they also have a back patio with a sink to hand wash clothes and clothes line. Wifi does not work in the room I’m in or the back patio…only in the common area & bar. They also provide a small locker with key for any valuables. The air conditioning is not working (maybe on purpose) at least in the albergue section. The bar does have salad plates or pasta plates that they will serve even past lunch hours.

  Had a double room w bathroom. Clean and comfy. But no particular personality and not a very communal feel.
